Fortunately, here is the recipe for a homemade cleaner to remove stains from a leather sofa: in a bowl, mix the juice of a lemon and an egg white. Soak a soft cloth in the mixture obtained, then apply the latter to your sofa, applying gently on the stains (tap or dab, do not rub too hard). Let your sofa dry and admire the result!

If over the years, your leather couch has lost its luster and superb, it is time to restore its original appearance. To do this, there is a simply miraculous product: neatsfoot oil, the oil that naturally nourishes, repairs and softens leather. Here’s how to take advantage of it to give your leather couch a facelift: generously apply neatsfoot oil to a soft cloth. Run the cloth over your sofa, making sure the oil soaks into the leather. Wait about a quarter of an hour, then wipe your leather sofa with a dry cloth. There you go: your old leather couch is no longer dried out, cracked or shriveled!
- Renovate a leather sofa with beeswax
To rejuvenate a leather sofa, you can also make a paste from turpentine (2/3) and softened beeswax (1/3). Apply the paste to a soft, clean cloth, and massage your leather in large circular motions so that the product penetrates well. Then wait 15 minutes, then finish the job by polishing your leather couch with a cotton ball and you’re done!
- How to repair a tear on a leather couch?
If your favorite pet has scratched your leather couch or if you don’t maintain it regularly, cracks or small scratches can tarnish the appearance of the leather and give it an old look. To avoid this, first gently sand the edge of the scratches, then clean the critical area with soapy water. Finally, apply walnut stain to restore the leather to its original color (this also works with shoe polish).
