Whether painting or painting: color accidents on fabric surfaces are always annoying and unsightly. Such stains can usually be removed quickly. That’s how it works:
- Gently pick up the paint with a cloth
- Now treat the stain with white spirit or turpentine
Immediately dab liquids with an absorbent cloth, do not rub. Food, fat and other residues should be carefully removed with a blunt back of a knife or a wooden spatula. Then please try the removal described above, depending on the type of stain. A cleaning agent should always be applied to a clean and soft white cloth or sponge and not directly to the cover. After cleaning, the reference surface should be wiped with a damp cloth from seam to seam with distilled water to avoid edge formation.
We always recommend checking the cleaning agent on a hidden spot first to see whether it ‘attacks’ or changes the cover. Always start with the gentlest detergent first and only increase to stronger detergents if necessary. Basically (but especially with flocked goods and microfiber covers), you should never clean too wet and with too much pressure, as this can cause damage.
